Latest company case about PP boards used in electronic and electrical industry
In the electronic and electrical industry, PP boards are mainly used for insulation protection, structural support, and component packaging, with core advantages of excellent insulation, lightweight design, and strong environmental stability.

1. Core Application Scenarios

  • Power distribution cabinets/boxes: Processed into 5-12mm thick insulating partitions and busbar supports for isolating high and low voltage areas and separating cables.
  • Internal structural parts of home appliances: Such as internal brackets and air duct housings of washing machines and air conditioners, as well as liner support strips of refrigerators (thickness: 0.8-5mm).
  • Enclosures and packaging of electronic equipment: Housings of small instruments and meters, PCB trays/slots, usually made of 3-8mm thick modified PP boards.
  • New energy equipment: Insulating liners inside charging piles, lithium battery PACK partitions (flame-retardant PP boards), thickness: 2-6mm.

2. Key Application Advantages

  • Outstanding insulation performance: Dielectric strength reaches 20-30kV/mm, effectively isolating high and low voltage components, reducing the risk of leakage and short circuits, and meeting electronic equipment insulation standards (e.g., IEC 60664).
  • Lightweight and easy to process: Density is only 0.9-0.92g/cm³, 30% lighter than traditional insulating materials (e.g., epoxy boards), which can reduce the overall weight of equipment; meanwhile, it is easy to cut, bend, and weld, with high processing efficiency.
  • Strong environmental stability: Temperature resistance range is -20℃ to 100℃, adapting to the operating temperature fluctuations of home appliances and outdoor equipment; it is also moisture-proof and aging-resistant, not easy to become brittle or crack after long-term use, extending the service life of equipment.
  • Environmentally friendly and cost-controllable: Halogen-free and non-toxic, complying with RoHS and REACH environmental standards for electronic and electrical products; raw material cost is lower than engineering plastics (e.g., PC, PA), and bulk application can reduce production costs.
